Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Prominent (“Prominent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, use our AI Foundation Certificate (AIFC) course, submit an inquiry through our contact form, or use our website chat widget.

1. Information We Collect

AIFC course accounts. When you create an account to access the AI Foundation Certificate course, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed and salted password (we never store your password in plain text). As you progress through the course, we store your quiz answers and the self-reflection responses you write, so your progress and certificate eligibility can be tracked and restored across sessions.

Contact form submissions. When you submit our “Partner with Prominent” inquiry form, we collect your name, company email, company name, company website (if provided), company size, estimated project budget, the areas of collaboration you're interested in, how you heard about us, and the project description you provide.

Chat widget. If you use the chat widget on our site, we store the messages you send, the name and email you choose to share (sharing an email is optional), the page you were on when you started the conversation, and timestamps.

Automatically collected information. Our AIFC course uses a single strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in (see “Cookies” below). We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party marketing pixels on this site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create and maintain your AIFC course account and track your progress
  • Issue your AI Foundation Certificate once you complete the course
  • Respond to partnership inquiries and follow up on project requests
  • Answer questions submitted through the chat widget
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our website and services
  • Comply with legal obligations where applicable

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.

3. Cookies

Our AIFC course sets one cookie — a secure, HTTP-only session cookie used solely to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the course to function and is not used for tracking, analytics, or advertising. It expires automatically after 30 days or when you sign out.

4. How We Share Your Information

We use a small number of service providers to operate this website and do not share your information beyond what's necessary for them to provide their service to us:

  • A cloud hosting provider that serves this website
  • A database provider that securely stores the information above
  • A transactional email provider used solely to notify our team when a contact form is submitted

These providers only process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prominent, our users, or others.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between your browser and our servers, salted and hashed password storage, database access controls that restrict data to the account that owns it, and rate limiting on our forms and login pages to reduce automated abuse. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information, course progress, contact form submissions, and chat logs for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business purposes, such as following up on inquiries and maintaining accurate records. If you'd like your data deleted, contact us using the details below and we will remove it, except where we're required to keep it for legal or legitimate business reasons.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do, and encourage you to review this page periodically.
